Nothing inspires me other than cooking. Apart from daily cooking, I like more of trying new recipes. More challenging is to cook any recipe in your own style. I believe most of them who likes cooking will agree with this. This recipe of Homemade Chilli Mushroom Pizza is deliciously tasty, no doubt pizzas are delicious, but since it is made at home is as tasty and cheesy as the market one. You can add as much as cheese and vegetables of your choice.
How to make Homemade Chilli Mushroom Pizza
With every new day there has to be something we look forward to, which motivates us throughout the day that makes life Beautiful and Happy. Ingredients:
Make – 4 medium size pizza
For the pizza Base
- Refined flour – 2 cups
- Dry active yeast – 1 ½ tsp
- Sugar – 1 tsp
- Salt – 1 tsp
- Oil – 1 tsp
- Luke warm water – 1 cup
For the Topping
- Pizza sauce – 1 tsp per pizza base
- Mozzarella cheese(grated) – 200 gm
- Chopped red capsicum – ½ cup
- Diced yellow capsicum – ½ cup
- Chopped green capsicum – ½ cup
- Diced onion – ½ cup
- Sliced mushroom – 4 to 5
- Chilli flakes – to taste
- Pizza herbs(seasoning) – to taste

Method:
Making Pizza Base
- The most important step is proofing of yeast. The whole recipe is depended on this step. Proofing means checking if the yeast is active. If the yeast is not active the base will not be soft and fluffy. So for proofing take 1 cup of Luke warm water. The temperature of the water is also important.
- To this add 1 tsp of sugar and mix. Add dry active yeast and stir. Cover it with a lid and keep aside for 10 to 15 mins. If the yeast is active there will be froth formation in the cup (shown above). If there is no frothing discard the yeast and try new one.
- Take the flour in a bowl. Add salt. Add the proofed yeast and mix. Make dough with your hand. Add water if the dough is tied. Apply some oil to the dough and cover it with a clean and damp cloth. Keep it in a clean and damp area for 2 hrs.
- The dough will rise double to its quantity.
- Knead the dough for 10 mins.
- Divide it into 4 parts.
- Roll it to a circle of 1 cm thick.
- Place it on a baking tray.
- Make hole with a fork (as shown in the picture).
- Cover it and keep it aside for 1 hr.
- After 1 hr the base would have risen.
- Preheat the oven at 200°C for 10 mins.
- Bake the base at 180°C for 5 to 10 mins.
- Our pizza base is ready. Let it cool to room temperature.
- This pizza base can be made in advance and stored in refrigerator for a week. Cover it with cloth to avoid drying and keep it in zip lock bag.
For making the pizza
- Spread the pizza sauce over the pizza base.
- Spread the grated cheese over the sauce.
- Place the chop vegetables over the cheese layer.
- Bake it for 5 mins.
- Sprinkle with pizza seasoning and chilli flakes.
- Top up with more cheese and bake the pizza till the cheese melt.
- Enjoy it.
