Almond Cake with Choco Honey Glaze

This Almond cake with Choco Honey Glaze is a moist, nice crumby & light cake. The Choco honey glaze adds a rich flavor to the cake. It is a very easy and delicious recipe.

Almond Cake

 

Ingredients:

For the cake

  • Refined flour/Maida – 1 cup
  • Almond flour – 1 cup
  • Powdered sugar – 1 ½ cup
  • Baking powder – 1 tsp
  • Vanilla essence – 1 tsp
  • Vegetable oil – ¾ cup
  • Almond milk – 1/2 to 1 cup

For the Choco Honey Glaze

  • Cocoa powder – 2 tbsp
  • Sugar – 2 tsp
  • Honey – 2 tbsp
  • Butter – 10 gm

Method:

  • Pre heat the oven at 200° C for 10 minutes.
  • Beat the powdered sugar with oil.
  • It will be separated at first but after beating for 2 minutes and will get a homogeneous mixture.
  • In another bowl mix refined flour, almond flour and baking powder.
  • Add this flour to the sugar and oil mixture.
  • Mix properly.
  • Add almond milk as required or to get pouring consistency batter.
  • Pour the batter to a pre greased tin.
  • Tap to remove any air entrapped in the batter.
  • Bake for 25 to 30 minutes at 170°C.
  • Once the cake is baked, let it cool in the tin itself for 15 minutes.
  • Remove the cake from the tin and place on a wire rack.

To prepare the Choco Honey Glaze

  • Take all the ingredients in a bowl.
  • Place the bowl on double boiler till the butter melts with continuous mixing.
  • Pour the glaze on the cake and spread it with a knife.
  • Let it cool.
