Cheesy cone is an amazing recipe with lots of cheese, as the name says and vegetables. This recipe is very easy and simple to make. The Cheesy cone is flavoured with spices which add more taste to it. Also it has a nice crust from outside and is soft and fluffy from inside.
How to make tasty & delicious Cheesy Cone
Ingredients:
For the cone
- Refined flour – 2 1/4 cups
- Warm water – 1 cup
- Yeast – 2 tsp
- Salt – 1 ½ tsp
- Pizza seasoning – 2 tsp
- Butter – 1 cube
- Sugar – 1 tsp

For the filling
- Chopped Red bell capsicum – ½ cup
- Yellow bell capsicum(chopped) – ½ cup
- Green capsicum(chopped) – ½ cup
- Sweet corn – ½ cup
- Pizza seasoning – 2 tsp
- Mozzarella cheese – 1 cup(grated)
- Pizza sauce – 2 tbsp

Directions:
- To prepare the cone, in a bowl take warm water. To it add sugar and stir it so that the sugar is dissolved. Add yeast and stir. Leave the mixture aside for 5 minutes.
- In a large bowl take the flour. Add salt and pizza seasoning to it. Mix it.
- Add the yeast mixture to the flour and mix with a spatula.
- Add butter and mix roughly with hand to make dough.
- Place the dough in a bowl greased with oil.
- Cover the dough and keep in a damp place till it rise double its size.
- After the dough has risen to double its size, it’s time to knead the dough.
- Place the dough on a clean and flat surface dusted with some flour.
- Knead the dough for 10 minutes using very little flour.
- Divide the dough into 6 to 8 parts.
- I have used the kulfi mould to make the cone.
- Remove the cap and grease the cone from outside with butter or oil.
- Roll one part of the dough to a oval shape roughly of 4 to 5 inch.
- Roll the dough over the mould, from outside, to form a cone.
- Seal the end properly.
- Prepare all the cones in the same way.
- Place the cone inverted on a baking tray greased with butter.
- Keep the tray in a damp place for 1 hour.
- Apply mixture of butter and milk or only melted butter to the cones before baking to prevent it from drying.
- Bake the cone in a preheated oven at 180 °C for 25 to 30 minutes or till it turns golden brown.
- In the mean time we will prepare the filling. Mix the chopped capsicums, sweet corn and pizza seasoning in a bowl. You can also sauté the capsicums for few minutes, with some salt and pizza seasoning. Let the vegetables cool down. Add grated mozzarella cheese and mix.
- Take out the cones from the oven and leave it to cool down for 5 minutes.
- Now slowly remove out the mould from the cone, when the cones are still hot otherwise the cone will become soggy from inside.
- Let the cone cool down to room temperature.
- Now we will start with the filling of the cone.
- Apply pizza sauce on the inner surface of the cone.
- Add some cheese first then fill with the vegetable and cheese mixture. If you want you can top up with some more cheese.
- Place the cone in a bowl to avoid spilling of the cheese while it melts during the baking.
- Bake the cone at 180° C for 10 to 15 minutes or till the cheese melts.
- Serve hot with tomato sauce.
